Carma's dance training began when she was 3 years old.

She continued her dance training into her teen years 

where she taught dance, as a small business,

in the basement of her family's home.

​

In the '80's, she attended many New York dance conventions. 

The spark of inspiration was ignited for her

after she had taken several New York classes

from Frank Hatchett, Gregory  Hines,

Gus Giordano  and Joe Tremaine.

 

Carma's love of dance continued into college where she founded the Bryant University Dance Club.  Now, 30 years later, the Bryant Dance Club is still active today. 

 

Although Carma's dance career calling emerged during her teens and continued through college, she waited until after college, (and a few corporate jobs), before she fulfilled her dreams. Incorporating her passion and imagination, it became her life's mission to share her love of the creative arts. 

​

She has skillfully integrated her program development expertise, performing arts background and teaching experience with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing. This dynamic combination resulted in the launching of Carma's Dance Creations in 1991. She later changed the name to Carma's Creations to broadened the company's reach and to address the growing needs of her clients.

​

Carma has been a business owner, choreographer, and dance teacher for over 25 years.  She has produced over 25 recitals and has shared her love of dance with thousands of children and adults. She would be honored to share her love of dance with your child at one of the pre-schools/private schools where her dance program is offered.
